my little desperado is an old guy, lots of grey

very experienced in evading cats and poets!

So you were serious about having a little chipmunk about. That must be some pretty amazing little corner of the universe you got there.

oh yes, i don't make up the stuff that goes on day to day. the poems have bits and pieces of me or people i know, sometimes they are quite literal, depending, but the everyday things, all true.

i have a very small strip of woods behind my place then there are the really rich people beyond that. in the fall after all the leaves have dropped i can stand outside and see the big houses(and they can see me, don't think that thrills them but hey...!)

there are wooded areas down the road as well and so, i get turkeys and possums and raccoons and deer and squirrels, rabbits, foxes and those mangy coyotes as well. there are tons of songbirds and at least 6 different types of hawks and big crows, owls( i love to hear them in the middle of the night)the past few years we have had ducks and so
many canadian geese that they are considered a nusance.we have cranes flying overhead twice a day, with their long legs straight out behind them. i feed whatever comes round.
