i'm reading a really fascinating book
BARBARIANS by terry jones and
alan ereira.

it looks at history in regard to the romans
from the viewpoint of those the romans labeled
barbarians. using recent discoveries and long
ignored facts it seems that history really IS written
by the victors, lies and all. seems "spin" is nothing new.
it is really interesting without being dry .
