hey! i figured out how to post audio of my poetry.

now you'll hear why i am having such difficulty
reading my own works. my voice is odd.

BUT, i will continue to practise, if only because i must
for myself if no one else.

now i will post before i chicken out!

I don't think your voice is odd at all. I actually think it enhanced my enjoyment of the poem to have heard it read aloud.

thanks.i really am a novice at reading aloud tho i've been writing on and off since the 60's.

i have never liked the sound of my voice ever since i first heard myself recorded in spanish class in high school.

i had to give a speech in my time on the scholarship committee. that was few years ago and i'm still being teased about how badly i shook.

so, i will practise some more but i wanted to post one while i was feeling brave.

thanks. i wish i thought so.at least if i could maybe think that it was sort of unique and therefore, memorable i might relax more.

Thanks for posting. I really like the poem, too. You sound very real, very human. And that's good.

thanks. i think that if i can get used to reading out loud here then i can move on to standing up and not shaking. : )

Very nice! I've always thought poetry was as much an audio medium as well as a written one.

hi, yes it is tho there are some poems that are written to be read to oneself. they need to be seen to get the full impact.

i'm trying to become more at ease and have a confidence without developing a pompous(fates save me)presence.
