this is my latest poem. it was well received by the PK list
and so i'm posting it here. i may change it later. but for now, it's done.



i stay sober for a lot of reasons


some unknown even to me
even tho i know

myself quite well
well enough to think about
staying sober

well, sober enough.

a two drink maximum
on a friday night

weddings and funerals
it's three. you see

i stay sober for a lot of reasons
mostly tho

so i keep my mouth closed
against all that i know.
