Idiots like those on parade here don't really do a lot to endear me to humans.

me either. i know more than a few but i just keep on trying to teach by example.

at least they tolerate me. maybe even some might listen or at least think about things when they are alone.

The racists and bigots are raging. Sometimes I wonder if we shouldn't be more worried about what they might try to do to us. Terrorist, huh? I wonder which one of those people in the video is a potential internal terrorist or assassin.

I hate to say it but none of the racists of my acquaintance would get away with saying things like that in my presence. I wouldn't be rude or angry, but I would have to tell them to stop; that I was deeply offended. I can't listen to that stuff.

The kid making the monkey noises - that was deeply troubling to me. Their minds have been polluted with hatred. shudder.

the people i know, they understand my views. the ones that like me are usually careful not to offend me. i think some of them even have begun to think about the things that they just took as truth because that is the way they were raised. just like the monkey sounds kid.

i've always felt you could teach by example and good will. or the old"you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar" saying.

it might be tempting to just lose my temper but that helps no one to improve and just upsets me more than them.

my grandparents were italian immigrants. they were wonderful human beings, especially my grandfather. he had a heavy accent and was 1 of the 1st italians to move into the town i was born in.

my mom and her brother's were little kids then.

well, to say they were hated and feared would be mild. but my grandfather just kept his dignity about himself while raising his kids and putting 50 years in one of the steel mills here. he was gracious to all and was always there if needed. when he passed away there where more people in his funeral procession than there was for any mayor of bigshot in that town and people came to me and told me stories of how he or my gram had helped them in troubled times and never said a word to anyone about it.

he changed a lot of peoples hearts and minds just by being himself.

he was my hero.
