a lack
no words
strung together
none
silent thoughts
heavy from the lack of sounds
to put them into
letters to say/show
how i go
words i can throw
the ache into
like a box
with a lock
and shove it off of
the bridge
i know that
words struggle a bit and then
sink but
if i could pile the stones of you and me
in as well,
weight that box down
the bloated sentences
the rotting stink
of lies
would not be found
(me)

i like the poem
Your cheap words that you brought on sale
Won't help you through tonight
You make the eyes of a million girls
And think that's what they like
Dead Sound
Dead Sound
I don't know if you remember Liquid Illusion, but this scares me a bit. My first thought upon reading this was the discovery of Liquid's suicide. Snap out of burying words. Fling them proudly on the page. Never sugar coat them. Let them bleed a bright red that pulses with your rage and fear and loss and hope.
thanks ghost. i had never heard the song. it's good.
